Mecknes and Volubilis

Evening meal (mint tea, tagine spicy mixed meats and less spicy chicken/veg) on the square at Mecknes, a short train ride from Fez. Then. Biiiiig breakfast (beignet, crepe, farina flapjacks, fruit, yoghurt, fresh OJ, tangerines, bananas, mint tea) at the Riad to fortify us for a morning exploring the wonderful roman ruin of Volubilis. It's at the far southwest end of the empire.  Some of the best mosaics we've ever seen, just soaking up the sunshine. Baths, homes, indoor running water, triumph arch, inscriptions in Old Times Roman font. Lots of roman stuff to love.
