The little prince

The reason for the trip, besides good did and company, was to see the little prince at the lookingglass theatre. It was a fun play. Very small audience. This theatre puts on very creative productions. The main part of the stage was occupied by a large sheet of padded vinyl which was everything from a dessert to a drawing board to a sled to the sky. Very fine.
Now if we can just get home. Original flight has been cancelled. Current flight delayed. Might be a long afternoon.

Windy (snowy) city

We took a quick weekend trip to Chicago for food, theatre and time with Amanda and her friend Jason.
Yesterday we went to the art institute for a really enjoyable afternoon. It was wonderful to see new exhibits and revisit old favorites. We saw a miniature room exhibit that was amazing in its detail. A woman made about 60 historically accurate American and European rooms in miniature. Very interesting. I'm always impressed at the van gogh works they have here. Also Seurat's grande jette was there this time. It was traveling the last time we visited.
Amanda and Jason had lunch with friends. Will and I walked back to the hotel despite cold snow. It was a nice brisk walk.
We had dinner at Everest-our first michillen starred restaurant. Will and I first time. Amanda and Jason are pros. Pics are below.
